WE’VE BEEN THERE…

Two blokes from the south coast who learnt the hard way what hides inside a home and the cost that it has.

Angus Black bought his first property the way most of us do … excited and ready to get the keys. He didn't look too hard at the tiny things. He wanted it to be the one, so he went through with the purchase regardless. It wasn’t until afterwards that he realised those little DIY fixes he thought he could fix easily, started to add up.

Henry Whyte had fourteen years in the building industry when he bought his first place. Fourteen years of working inside other people's homes, spotting problems, fixing other peoples mistakes. And he still missed things in his own purchase. That's what buying can do. You look past the problems

We've both been mates since we were sixteen. Grew up on the South Coast, NSW. When we sat down and threw around some troubles we had, the things we'd both missed, the money we wasted, we realised we weren't the only ones who would be going through the troubles we did. We were just two of the thousands of people every year who buy a property with the ol glasses on.

That's when Black + Whyte Inspections made sense.

Angus has spent the last eight years working offshore in oil and gas construction. That industry doesn't leave much room for error and requires a thorough eye at all times. Henry is the CEO of a highly credible plumbing business on the South Coast. He’s been inside more properties than he can count. He knows what good work looks like. More importantly, he knows what people try to hide.

Together, we go through a property the way we wish someone had gone through ours - thoroughly and honestly. We use thermal imaging cameras and moisture meters to find what's happening behind the walls before it becomes your problem. Every report comes with photos and a break down of all the findings we see on the day.

Just exactly what you need to know before you sign.

We're based out of Kiama, NSW. This is our home, and the people buying property here deserve to know what could be hiding under their noses.
